Some New Websites I’ve Recently Discovered

I have recently joined a couple new sites that seemed interesting, so I decided to share.

The first, Timehop, I heard about after reading this post on a friend’s blog. I didn’t get an email the day after I signed up because, apparently, nothing was going on in my life September 19, 2011 (even though it’s Talk Like A Pirate Day!). I’m not entirely sure what to think of that… Will update this post when I do get an email, to reminisce about all the exciting things I’m sure I was doing this week, last year. Sept 19, 2011, was a Monday, after all. I’m sure that’s why I was so quiet online.

The second is a social media site called CircleMe, and is only a few months old. I heard about this site from a post on Bit Rebels. I then created my profile and started ‘Liking’ things and was even ‘trusted’ by a few people – I do have great taste in TV and food! I haven’t discovered the personal value in this site yet but it has potential to be useful for studying consumer’s behavior, from a marketing perspective. (It’s honestly getting hard to remember all my passwords for the growing number of social media sites I’ve signed up for. Comes with the territory, I guess.)

Also of note – I got an email from Twitter, inviting me to use their advertising services. I’m not sure if they are trying to tell me something, or if they think I have clients that may be interested in that feature. It makes me wonder what their approval process is for advertisers.
