Easter and Cherry Blossom Sundays

These past two weeks have been crazy busy. Not only was my favorite Southerner in town, but it was Easter then Cherry Blossom Sundays. We, of course, took full advantage of the gorgeous weather by sending as much time outside as possible.

I went to the Easter Sunrise Service last year and said that once was enough. Clearly I can’t say no to friends since I let Ashley convince me to go again this year…so I dragged one of my roomies along.

The sunrise was a little bit disappointing, I am sad to say. It was a pretty cloudy day, but I did get one good pic.

After the service, we took the party home for a nap then a Sunday brunch and BBQ with several friends.

Of course, no party is complete without dressing up!

The very next Sunday, we decided to picnic on the grass of the Jefferson Memorial and enjoy some Cherry Blossoms. It was a warm, sunny, pleasant day all around and one I will not soon forget. So many great memories made that day.

I had to say goodbye to Ashley a couple of days after but we are meeting again in New Orleans at the end of the month, so it’s not a goodbye for long.
